Kingsland KLhosanna Ladies Show Shirt

The Kingsland KLhosanna is a white competition shirt for women from the Danish manufacturer Kingsland, stocked here in size L (EU 40 / IT 44). You wear it under your show jacket in dressage, showjumping and eventing. The model comes from the summer 2024 collection and is no longer in Kingsland's current collection, which has consequences for what can be said about it.

About this competition shirt

Kingsland designs and sells riding clothing from Ikast in Denmark and brings out new women's show shirts every season, each with its own model name. The KLhosanna belongs to the summer 2024 line. Here it comes in a single version: white, size L, which at Kingsland corresponds to EU 40 and IT 44.

Kingsland no longer documents this model today. The shirt is no longer in the manufacturer's catalogue: the model name returns no hit in Kingsland's webshop, and the brand's German shop no longer has the page either. As a result there is no statement of the fibre composition, the sleeve length, the collar type, the fastening, the fabric weight, the size guide or the washing instructions. Those details do not appear here, nor among the technical features. The care label in the shirt remains the source for the composition and the washing instructions for now. With the other Kingsland shirts in our range it is different: for those the manufacturer does state the composition.

About the classes, on the other hand, something concrete can be said, and that is usually the question a customer arrives with. In showjumping, FEI Jumping Rules article 207.2.3 asks for a white collar, white cuffs with long sleeves and a white tie, stock or choker; short sleeves are permitted, including under a jacket. In dressage, the FEI rules set no requirement for the shirt: article 431 prescribes only a white or off-white stock or tie. The Belgian rules fill that in more strictly and require a white shirt, and without a jacket sleeves that cover at least the shoulders. If the ground jury allows riding without a jacket in very warm weather, the shirt must then have sleeves in showjumping, short or long. Rules differ by federation, discipline, level and country and change regularly: check the current rules of your own federation.

The limitations can be listed plainly. There is one size and one colour, so a size up or down does not exist. Because the manufacturer documents neither the sleeve length nor the collar type, you cannot check in advance whether the shirt fits a class with a requirement about cuffs or about a closed stand-up collar. And white asks for care: sand, make-up and grooming grease leave a mark at once, so at a multi-day show a second shirt is not a superfluous purchase.
