Between two sizes? We usually recommend the larger size, unless stated otherwise on the product. In our experience, Italian brands (such as Animo, Cavalleria Toscana and Vestrum) tend to come up small.
Rugs
How to measure your horse: using a soft tape measure, measure from the centre of the chest, over the point of the shoulder, horizontally along the body to the furthest point of the hindquarters. This is the total length.
Always check the brand's size chart. A rug size in cm (for example 125 or 145) is the back length for most brands, and how it converts to feet differs per brand. Some brands, such as Bucas, also measure differently. That's why every rug comes with the brand's own size information.
The table below converts the total length from feet to cm. This conversion is the same for every brand.

The Kentucky Horsewear Fly Veil Wellington Plaited Glitter Rope is a fly hood with an elegant, decorative finish. The Wellington model is combined here with a plaited decorative rope and a glitter detail, so the fly hood sits neatly alongside a smart competition or training outfit.
About this fly hood
A fly hood is worn over the horse's ears while you ride. This model is an interesting choice when you want to combine function with the recognisable, refined look of Kentucky Horsewear. The Plaited Glitter Rope finish gives the design that extra detail, without you having to combine several accessories.
The fly hood comes in several colours: black, navy, dark green, old rose, beige and light blue. That way you can pick a colour that matches your saddle pad and the rest of your equipment. Combined with a saddle pad in the same Plaited Glitter Rope style, you can put together a nicely coordinated set.
Kentucky Horsewear offers this version in size Full. The model is therefore intended first of all for horses for which a Full fly hood is the right fit. If you have a pony, a cob or a horse that usually wears a different bridle size, it is wiser to choose a model that is explicitly available in that size.
Thanks to its smart finish, the Wellington Plaited Glitter Rope can be used both in training and at competitions, depending on your discipline and your own preference. The range of colours also makes it easy to match the fly hood to a dressage or jumping outfit.
Are you mainly after a completely plain fly hood, without a decorative rope or glitter details? Then a simpler model will probably suit you better. The Wellington Plaited Glitter Rope is meant for riders who deliberately go for a more dressed-up look.
