Description
The KASK Nemesi is a riding helmet with a standard peak for dressage and show jumping, which Kask makes in ten colours with two finishes: Metal and Shine. Kask aims the Nemesi at riders from amateur to professional and describes it as suited to competition. You choose the shell size and colour, along with the liner in your head circumference in cm, which comes free with the helmet.
About this riding helmet
With the Nemesi, Kask sets out to make a helmet that performs and lets you show your own style. The most striking feature is the colour choice: ten colours, including pastel shades, in two finishes. Around the ventilation openings runs a frame in the same colour as the shell, always in Shine.
Construction
Kask builds the Nemesi with a double shell: an inner shell of EPS and thermoformed polycarbonate and an outer shell of injection-moulded ABS. The peak is ABS. With Integrated Airflow Control, air comes in at the front and warm air goes out at the back. The liner is made of hydrophilic, breathable polyester fabric with an integrated Fit System and is held in the shell by three pins (Click-In System), so you can take it out to wash it. The chin strap is faux leather.
Metal or Shine
The Metal finish has a metallic look and comes in Cobalt Blue, Ash Brown, Teal Green and the colour called Zwart Matt at Maddelin; at Kask this is Smokey Black. Shine is gloss and comes in Bubble Pink, Silk Beige, Soft Blue, Cloud Lilac, Mint green and Zwart Lak, Black at Kask. So Zwart Matt is not a matt shell, but a Metal finish.
Sizes and weight
Kask makes the Nemesi for head circumferences from 51 to 63 cm. According to Kask the helmet is not adjustable; shell and liner set the size. At Maddelin you choose shell size 51/56, 57/59 or 60/63 and then, on the product page, the liner in your circumference in cm. That liner comes free with the helmet. Kask gives a weight of 550 g for sizes 51 to 59 and 650 g for 60 to 63.
Standards and WG11
KASK certifies its current production of the Nemesi to EN 1384:2023 and ASTM F1163-23 (with the SEI label). The standards of your helmet are shown on the label under the liner; a helmet from an older production run may carry an older standard. KASK also tests its helmets to its own rotational impact protocol, the Rotational Impact WG11 Test. This is an internal KASK protocol, not a standard.
Nemesi or Nemesi Wide Peak
The KASK Nemesi Wide Peak is the same helmet with a wide peak against sun and rain, but Kask only makes it up to size 60. The Nemesi itself has a standard peak and goes up to 63 cm. Compared with the Kask Kooki, the Nemesi weighs slightly more and has the frame in shell colour and the wider colour choice.
Key benefits
- Ten colours in a Metal or Shine finish

- Air inlet at the front, warm-air outlet at the back
- Liner in your size in cm included free with the helmet
- Size range up to 63 cm
When to choose this product
The Nemesi is for riders who want a standard-peak helmet for training and competition, in dressage or show jumping, and for whom colour matters. It also covers head circumferences up to 63 cm.
Want more shade over your eyes? Then go for the KASK Nemesi Wide Peak, as long as your head circumference does not exceed 60 cm. If you are looking for a lighter helmet in understated black, the Kask Kooki is an alternative.
Fit
At Maddelin you buy the Nemesi by shell size: 51/56, 57/59 or 60/63. The interchangeable liner provides the exact size. You choose it on the product page in your head circumference in cm, and it comes free with the helmet. Measure with a tape measure just above your eyebrows and ears. Kask states that the helmet must fit precisely and is not adjustable in itself. For small corrections Kask offers front and side inserts, and in our shop in Torhout Maddelin fine-tunes the fit with fitting pads. For children, choose the size that fits today.

Expert advice
Choose your colour with your discipline in mind as well. For dressage, the FEI and the dressage test in eventing require a black or dark helmet, Paardensport Vlaanderen a discreet colour. Rules differ by federation, discipline, level and country and change regularly: check your federation's current rules.
Measure your head circumference just above your eyebrows and ears. If you can, try the Nemesi on in our shop in Torhout: the circumference does not tell the whole story about the shape of your head, and Maddelin fine-tunes the fit with fitting pads. For a spare liner there is the Kask Kooki/Nemesi liner, and for the sides the Kask set of side stickers.
Use & care
Close the buckle until it clicks and test with a tug that it is locked. The straps should not cover your ears and the buckle should sit well clear of your jawbone. Adjust the length of the chin strap until the helmet sits firmly without pressing, and place the small rubber ring at the end. To open, press the two side buttons at the same time.
Check the helmet regularly, and always before use, for cracks, loose parts or flaking. Store it out of the sun, preferably in the original packaging or the Kask helmet bag.
Frequently asked questions
Is Zwart Matt a matt helmet?
No. At Kask, Zwart Matt is the colour Smokey Black in the Metal finish. If you want gloss black, choose Zwart Lak.
Which standards does the Nemesi have?
KASK certifies its current production of the Nemesi to EN 1384:2023 and ASTM F1163-23 (with the SEI label). If you ride at FEI level, check the label: from 1 January 2027 the FEI only accepts VG1 in combination with one of the main standards, and from 1 January 2028 the FEI requires at least two accepted standards. EN 1384:2023 and ASTM F1163:23 are both on the FEI list. Rules differ by federation, discipline, level and country and change regularly: check your federation's current rules.
What is the WG11 test?
Kask's own test protocol, with which the brand measures how its helmets behave in a rotational impact. It is an internal protocol, not a standard and not a certification.
Do I get a liner in my size?
Yes. You choose the shell size and then the liner in your head circumference in cm; it comes free with the helmet.
How much does the Nemesi weigh?
According to Kask, 550 g in sizes 51 to 59 and 650 g in sizes 60 to 63.
Can I ride dressage in a coloured helmet?
The FEI requires black or a dark colour in dressage, Paardensport Vlaanderen a discreet colour. Rules differ by federation, discipline, level and country and change regularly: check your federation's current rules.
How do I look after the Nemesi?
Clean the shell with water, mild soap and a soft cloth and let it dry at room temperature. Wash the liner by hand in cold water or up to 30 °C in the machine. Do not use chemicals or solvents.
