Product Information
The Equiline Jhoank are knee grip riding breeches for boys, with silicone grip on the inside of the knee and a seat without grip. They are proper riding breeches, not leggings, made from a stretch fabric of 93% nylon and 7% elastane. Breeches for lessons, training and, in beige, competition days too. At Maddelin in Navy and Beige, in size 140-146 (age 10-11).
About these breeches
The Jhoank is the knee grip boys' model from Equiline's children's collection. The fabric is 93% nylon and 7% elastane. That small share of elastane gives the breeches stretch, so they fit closely without restricting your son's movement in rising trot or in a jumping position.
The grip type is knee grip: the silicone sits only on the inside of the knee, where the leg lies against the saddle. The seat has no grip. That gives contact through the knee, while the seat stays free to move. If you would rather feel grip in the seat as well, choose a full grip model.
The waistband has an adjustable elastic inside. That lets you take the waist in or let it out a little, which is handy with children: the waist does not always grow at the same pace as the leg length. At the bottom, the leg has an elasticated finish, so the hem sits neatly inside the riding boot.
Navy is a dark colour that copes well with the odd knock at the yard and in lessons. Along with white, beige is one of the usual colours for riding breeches at competitions. Whether your breeches meet the requirements of your competition is decided by the rules of your discipline and federation; always check them.
