Product Information

Fager Jenny Sweet Iron Bridoon Bit – Precision, Tongue Relief & Control

The Fager Jenny Sweet Iron bridoon bit is developed for riders working with horses that are both powerful and sensitive. This bit offers a unique balance between control and softness, allowing you to create a refined, stable connection – even with horses that struggle to maintain consistent contact.

The anatomically shaped, double-jointed mouthpiece with tongue relief significantly reduces pressure on the tongue. This makes the bit particularly suitable for horses that resist traditional bits or build tension in the contact. The improved pressure distribution allows your horse to relax more easily and come onto the bit more honestly.

Why choose the Fager Jenny? The integrated copper roller plays a key role in this. It subtly activates when your horse leans or becomes strong, allowing you to give a refined correction without having to pull hard. At the same time, the roller encourages relaxation in sensitive or nervous horses.

The combination of sweet iron and copper creates a pleasant taste, which increases saliva production and significantly improves bit acceptance. Ideal for picky or young horses that still need to build confidence.

  • Tongue relief for less pressure and more relaxation

  • Copper roller for subtle correction and distraction

  • Stimulates saliva production and bit acceptance

  • Ideal for strong but sensitive horses

  • Perfect balance between control and softness

If in doubt about the correct bit choice, consult a bit fitter or instructor.

Regularly check the corners of your horse's mouth and its behaviour to see if the bit fits.

Rinse the bit after each ride and check it for wear or sharp edges.

For whom?

For riders looking for a bit that suits their horse's mouth and needs.

When do you use this?

During training and, if permitted by regulations, in competition.

For which horses?

The right bit choice depends on your horse's mouth conformation and preference; if in doubt, ask for advice.

When is an alternative better?

If your horse does not respond well to this mouthpiece, consult a bit fitter about alternatives.

Attach the bit to the bridle and adjust the height so that it rests gently in the corners of the mouth, without creating wrinkles or hanging too low. Rinse the bit after each ride.
