Use the turnout rug without a linerin autumn and spring, when you mainly need protection against rain and wind. Clip in the 300g lineras soon as it gets really cold or when your horse has been clipped.

Remove the liner from the rug when storing it. This way, everything dries faster and the filling retains its volume.

When is an alternative better?
If you already have a well-functioning liner system at home, you'll be paying for layers you won't use. In that case, look for a separate turnout rug in the desired grammage.

First, attach the liner to the liner loops in the outer rug. Lay the entire assembly centrally over the back and close the V-Front chest closure. Then, fasten the three cross surcingles and the tail cord. Attach the neck piece with the velcro sandwich closure: fold the flap completely over so that no water can get in. Finally, check that your horse can move freely and that the rug does not pull backwards.

Is the liner really included?

Yes. You buy the 100g outer rug and the 300g liner together. The detachable neck cover is also included.

How much warmth do I get with both layers combined?

The combination amounts to 400g of fill. This is a true winter rug, suitable for clipped horses and freezing weather.

What are safety surcingles?

Surcingles that detach when too much pulling force is applied, for example, if your horse gets caught on something. This reduces the risk of injury.

Can I wash the outer rug separately?

Yes. Detach the liner and treat both layers separately. Always follow Horseware's washing label; incorrect washing can damage the waterproof layer.

What size do I need?

Measure from the center of the chest, along the flank, to the tailbone. If you are in doubt between two sizes, choose the larger one.
