Size guide

A correct size is essential for both comfort and performance in equestrian sports. At Maddelin Equestrian, we are happy to help you choose the right size so that your equipment fits perfectly—whether it's riding apparel, helmets, boots, or accessories.
A well-fitting outfit not only ensures greater comfort but also better performance in the saddle. Clothing that is too tight or too loose can restrict your freedom of movement and affect your aids. Therefore, we recommend always measuring accurately and using our size charts as a guide.
Our size charts are organized by product category and brand, allowing you to choose as precisely as possible. Because fits can vary by brand, you will find specific information with each product to guide you.
How to measure correctly?
For the best results, always measure with a flexible tape measure, close to the body but without tightening.
-
Chest circumference: measure around the widest part of the chest
-
Waist: measure around the narrowest part of your waist
-
Hips: measure around the widest part of the hips
-
Inseam length: measure from groin to ankle
-
Head circumference (helmets): measure just above the eyebrows and ears
-
Calf circumference & height (boots/chaps): measure the widest part of the calf and the height from heel to hollow of the knee
If you are in doubt between two sizes? We usually advise choosing the larger size for extra comfort, unless otherwise stated with the product.
At Maddelin, we believe that the right fit makes all the difference between just riding and truly riding well. Use our size charts as a guide and confidently choose the size that suits you and your horse.
The Horseware Ionic Poll Cover is designed to offer extra comfort and support to the sensitive area behind the horse's ears – the poll and neck zone. This is a place where a lot of pressure can build up from the bridle, especially during longer training sessions, competitions, or transport. With this innovative poll cover, you help reduce tension and improve your horse's comfort.
The poll cover uses Horseware Ionic technology, where special fibers contain minerals that reflect body heat as gentle infrared energy. This can help to stimulate blood circulation and relax muscles in the neck and head area. For horses that are sensitive to pressure behind the ears or hold tension in the neck, this can make a noticeable difference during riding or training.
The soft and flexible material conforms comfortably around the bridle, preventing chafing or pressure points. Thanks to its easy attachment, the poll cover can be quickly placed around the bridle's headpiece. This makes it a practical addition to the daily equipment of riders who want to pay extra attention to their horse's well-being and comfort.
Maddelin tip
Use the poll cover during training sessions or competitions for horses that are sensitive behind the ears. The extra comfort can help promote relaxation in the contact.
