Description
The Horseware Ice-Vibe Leg Wraps are neoprene leg wraps with a built-in massage panel and a pocket for a gel pack. Use them before work with the packs at room temperature or warmed in water, or after work with chilled packs. The set contains two wraps, so you can care for two legs at once, front or hind.
About these cooling boots
Each wrap has a neoprene outer, elasticated pockets on the inside and a soft binding. The massage panel and the gel pack slide into those pockets. The panel has its own controller and a rechargeable battery: one button switches it on and selects one of three settings, with a light showing which setting is active.
With the Ice-Vibe range, Horseware combines cooling and vibration massage in one product. The wraps are contoured to the lower leg and fit both front and hind legs. You can also use them without a gel pack, with massage only.
In the set: two leg wraps, two gel packs, two massage panels, one charger and a lightweight storage bag.
The Ice-Vibe Leg Wraps are a horse care product. They do not replace examination or treatment by your vet: if your horse has an injury, a warm or swollen leg or moves unevenly, ask your vet's advice first.
Key benefits
- Cooling and vibration massage in one wrap.
- Use before work with packs at room temperature or warmed, and after work with chilled packs.

When to choose this product
Choose the Ice-Vibe Leg Wraps if you want cooling and massage to be a regular part of your routine around training and competition, in dressage, show jumping or eventing. Because the set is portable and battery powered, it works just as well at the yard as at a show.
From the same range, Maddelin also stocks the Horseware Ice-Vibe Boots. If you are looking for a red light therapy product rather than cooling and massage, have a look at the Horseware LED Red Light Therapy Leg Wrap.
Fit
Choose between Full and X-Full. Horseware recommends Full for medium to large ponies, small horses and Thoroughbreds, and X-Full for medium to large horses. This is a guide: the hook-and-loop lets you adjust the wrap, so allow for some overlap. Unsure between two sizes? Visit our shop or ask us for advice.

Expert advice
After work, chill the gel packs beforehand as described in Horseware's instructions. Before work, use the packs at room temperature or warm them in water, and combine them with the massage as a warm-up.
Only put the wraps on once your horse has been washed down and scraped off. That way as little water as possible reaches the charging ports.
Charge the batteries for 4 hours and never leave them uncharged for longer than 6 weeks, also out of season. The first few times, let your horse get used to the vibration calmly, somewhere quiet.
Use & care
Charge the panels beforehand. Slide the massage panel and the gel pack into the elasticated pockets, place the wrap around the lower leg and fasten the hook-and-loop using the rubber tabs. Switch the panel on with the button and choose the setting. After use, take out the panels and packs. Wash the wraps at 30 degrees with all closures fastened, line dry and store everything dry in a breathable bag, somewhere cool and out of the sun.
Frequently asked questions
How many wraps are in the set?
Two. The set contains two leg wraps, two gel packs, two massage panels, one charger and a storage bag.
Can I use the Ice-Vibe Leg Wraps on the hind legs?
Yes. Horseware states they are suitable for both front and hind legs.
Can I use them without cooling?
Yes. You can use the wraps without a pack, with massage only. Before work, use the packs at room temperature or warmed in water.
Which size do I need?
According to Horseware, Full fits medium to large ponies, small horses and Thoroughbreds, and X-Full fits medium to large horses.
How long do the batteries need to charge?
4 hours. Never leave them uncharged for longer than 6 weeks.
How do I wash the wraps?
Remove the panels and packs first and close all hook-and-loop. Wash at 30 degrees; a washing tablet is fine. Line dry away from a heat source and pull the wrap into shape while it is still damp. Do not bleach, tumble dry or iron.
Do the wraps replace the vet?
No. They are a horse care product. If your horse is injured, swollen or lame, always consult your vet first.
