Product Information
The HorseWare Amigo Ripstop 900D Plus Petite Turnout is a waterproof and breathable outdoor rug specifically designed for miniature horses and very small ponies. The Petite version translates the features of the Amigo turnout rugs to smaller sizes, so that even a smaller built horse gets a rug that is tailored to its size.
The exterior is made of 900D ripstop polyester. The ripstop construction provides a reinforced weave structure, while the material is waterproof and breathable. This makes this rug suitable for outdoor use in rain and varying weather conditions.
On the inside, the Amigo Ripstop 900D Plus Petite has a smooth polyester lining with anti-static, anti-bacterial, and shine-enhancing properties. The combination of outer fabric and lining makes this a practical turnout rug for daily use.
Since this is the Plus version, a detachable neck piece is included. You can therefore turn out your miniature horse or pony with full neck coverage when conditions demand it, and remove the neck piece when it is not needed. The rug is also equipped with liner loops and is compatible with liners. This allows you to adapt the rug system when extra insulation is desired.
The fit is tailored to smaller horses and ponies. The rug features a straight front closure, a leg arch for freedom of movement, and two crossed surcingles. A waterproof tail flap provides extra coverage at the back. There are also attachment options for fillet strings.
The Amigo Ripstop 900D Plus Petite Turnout is available, among other options, as a 0g and 200g version. The 0g version is unlined and primarily focuses on rain protection, while the 200g version offers extra insulation.
The main difference from the regular Amigo Ripstop 900D Plus Turnout is the sizing and fit: this Petite is specifically intended for miniature horses and very small ponies. For a larger built pony or horse, the standard version is therefore the more logical choice.
