HorseWare Amigo Ripstop 900D Plus

Choose the fill based on your horse and the weather. The 0 g version keeps your horse dry without making him warmer and suits a horse with a normal coat on wet days. The 100 g version adds light insulation for cooler days in spring and autumn. Take into account coat, breed, whether he is clipped, wind and humidity.

If you prefer to work with layers, attach a Horseware liner under the rug with the liner loops instead of changing rugs. If your horse lives out in a large field or is playful, leg straps on the loops give extra security. Use the neck cover in the rain and take it off when you do not need it.

Choose the Amigo Ripstop 900D Plus if you want a turnout rug with a neck cover that you can build on with a liner, and you prefer a straight front closure and leg strap loops. The 0 g version works as a rain sheet, the 100 g version for cooler days.

If you want a 1200D outer fabric with a V-Front closure, three cross surcingles and reflective strips, look at the Horseware Amigo 1200D Plus Turnout, in 0 g, 50 g or 100 g. If your horse needs more warmth in winter, the alternative is the Horseware Rambo 1680D Plus Turnout with Vari-Layer in 250 g or 450 g. Place the rug over the back and fasten the straight front closure first. Then do up the two cross surcingles under the belly, leaving a hand's width of room, place the tail cord under the tail and, if you wish, attach leg straps to the loops. Attach the neck cover to the hood loops. Machine wash at 30 °C with Velcro closed, line dry and do not use bleach, a tumble dryer or an iron.

What is the difference between the 0 g and the 100 g version?
Only the fill. The 0 g version is a rain sheet with no fill, the 100 g version has a light fiberfill for a little extra warmth.

Is the neck cover included?
Yes. The detachable neck cover comes with the rug and attaches to the hood loops.

Can I attach a liner underneath?
Yes. The liner loops are compatible with the Horseware liner system. Liners are sold separately.

Does the rug have leg straps?
The rug has loops for optional leg straps. In addition, two cross surcingles, a tail flap and a tail cord keep it in place.

How do I choose the right size?
Measure from the centre of the chest, over the point of the shoulder, to the middle of the tail, take off 10 cm and compare with the Horseware size guide.

What is the difference with the Amigo 1200D Plus Turnout?
That rug has a 1200D polyester outer fabric, a V-Front closure, three cross surcingles and reflective strips. The Ripstop 900D Plus has a ripstop outer fabric, a straight front closure and two cross surcingles.

How do I wash the rug?
In the machine at 30 °C, with all Velcro closed and straps fastened. Line dry it, without bleach, tumble dryer or iron. Horseware recommends professional cleaning.
