Product Information
The LJ Leathers Legacy Bridle, also known as the Polidor, is a bridle in quality leather with an anatomically shaped headpiece and a combined noseband. Web reins with stops are included. A classic-looking bridle for riders who do dressage, jumping or daily schooling and who value a neat finish.
About this bridle
The most striking thing about the Legacy is the combination of a classic line with a modern cut headpiece. That headpiece is anatomically shaped: it is cut away where the ears sit and rests more widely on the poll, so no narrow strap ends up pressing tightly behind the ears. The bridle therefore sits more quietly on the head than a traditionally straight-cut model.
The noseband is softly padded and has a flash strap, so it is a combined noseband. The flash strap runs under the bit and keeps the bit in place, which makes the contact more even. The padding on the noseband prevents the edges from marking the skin during longer schooling sessions.
The browband is slightly curved and neatly stitched. That stitch line is also the detail that finishes the bridle: no decoration, just a tidy line that keeps the whole thing understated. The buckles are stainless steel and so stay looking good despite sweat, rain and cleaning sessions.
The leather is supple and sturdy. As with any new bridle, the leather breaks in over the first few weeks and settles to the shape of your horse's head; leather balm speeds that up and keeps the leather in condition. The web reins supplied have stops that give your fingers grip, also in wet weather.
