We offer this bridle in size Full. If you are unsure, compare the length of the headpiece and noseband with the bridle you use now; that is more reliable than going by your horse's breed.

With a combined noseband, fit it in this order: first the height of the bit, then the noseband itself at roughly two fingers below the cheekbone with two fingers of room, and only then the flash strap. That flash strap is not there to hold the mouth shut; it may stabilise, not clamp. After half an hour of riding, check whether the chin pad is still nicely centred.

Brown leather needs the same routine as black: wipe off sand and sweat, clean regularly with glycerine soap and feed afterwards. Use a colourless or light balm, because dark products can change the shade of brown leather over time. Always let wet leather dry slowly at room temperature.

The Lalevade suits riders who want a classic, plain brown bridle with an anatomical fit and a combined noseband, and who want reins straight away. It is a sensible everyday bridle that does not look out of place at a competition either, and it is comfortable for horses that are sensitive behind the ears or under the chin.

If you deliberately ride without a flash strap, you are better off with a model with a plain noseband from our range. If you want a distinctly eye-catching browband or a black bridle, other models in our range answer that better.
