Product Information
The Samshield Frac Louis Matt Men is a black dressage tailcoat for male riders: a tailcoat with a classic button fastening and a matt, technical fabric. It is intended for dressage competitions and official championships, where a neat and minimalist appearance is expected. This version comes in black and in two sizes, XS (Men 44) and M (Men 48).
About this show jacket
In dressage you sit still, or at least: you try to look as though you do. Anything that moves on your jacket pulls attention away from your horse. That is why this model leans on a restrained line: no sheen, no contrast colours, and logos worked tone on tone into the fabric.
The fabric is a technical blend of polyamide and elastane. Polyamide gives strength and shape retention, elastane provides the stretch. The whole is lightweight, breathable, elastic and quick-drying, and moves with your upper body instead of holding you in a straitjacket. Because the fabric breathes, you keep feeling fresh in the warm-up area and during your test.
The fit is ergonomic and lightly tailored. The cut follows the male silhouette, shows the waist and at the same time leaves room to move in the shoulders. On a tailcoat that counts twice over: the jacket has to look just as neat standing at the prize-giving as it does sitting in the saddle.
The finish tells you what this tailcoat was made for. Elegant buttons, a classic button fastening and high-quality stitching give it a polished character. It is exactly that kind of detail a judge picks up at close range, or that shows in the prize-giving photographs.
In practical terms the tailcoat is crease-free and easy to wash, which helps when you carry it from show to show in a garment bag. The sizing of this version is limited to XS (Men 44) and M (Men 48).
