Full fits most horses with a medium to large head, Cob suits finer heads. Compare the length of your current noseband and headpiece to be certain.

Adjust the flash strap looser than the noseband itself: it holds the bit in place and should not pull the mouth shut. Leave roughly two fingers of room under the noseband. If you ride without the flash strap, take it off completely rather than leaving it hanging; it looks tidier and nothing can flap about.

Vegetable-tanned leather asks for patience at the start. Break it in gently and treat it a little more often with leather balm during the first few weeks, so it softens without becoming saturated. Apply a small amount at a time and let it soak in. Clean with saddle soap after riding and let wet leather dry at room temperature, never near a heat source. That keeps the colour and stops the leather from going hard.

Choose this bridle if you want a traditional, understated bridle in quality leather with a fine finish: hunter riders first of all, but equally show jumpers who like a classic look and riders simply after a solid everyday bridle.

If you want a wide padded or anatomically shaped noseband, our range offers more modern models for that. If you are looking for a grackle or a drop noseband, this is not the model you need. And if you like crystals or pronounced decoration on the browband, a bridle from another line will suit you better, because this model is deliberately restrained.

What type of noseband does this bridle have?
A slightly raised square noseband with a removable 10 mm flash strap. With the flash strap fitted you have a combined noseband; without it you ride with a plain noseband.

Can I leave the flash strap off?
Yes, it is removable and comes off without tools.

What does vegetable-tanned leather mean?
That the leather is tanned with plant-based tannins. It feels firmer at first, breaks in gradually and takes on a deeper colour over time, provided you look after it regularly.

How do I care for the leather?
Wipe it down after riding, clean it with saddle soap and feed it regularly with leather balm. Let wet leather dry slowly, never near a heat source.
