The BR Single-Jointed Pelham Bit Soft Contact is developed for riders who need extra control without losing sight of the horse's comfort. This bit is particularly suitable for strong, eager horses that require more containment, while maintaining a soft and fair contact.
The anatomically shaped mouthpiece follows the natural contours of the horse's mouth and distributes pressure evenly across the tongue and bars. Thanks to the Cuprigan alloy, rich in copper, saliva production is stimulated, which ensures better acceptance of the bit and a more relaxed contact. The single-jointed design provides a direct, clear action and at the same time offers sufficient tongue relief.
The shanks of the pelham bit create leverage that helps you as a rider to apply more subtle and effective action. Depending on the rein hold, you can adjust the intensity of the action, making this bit versatile – usable with both single and double reins.
