If you are unsure about size, measure your current bridle and compare it strap by strap: headpiece, cheekpieces and noseband. That is more reliable than judging by eye.

When adjusting, leave room for two fingers under the noseband just below the cheekbone, and a flat hand under the throatlash. Fasten the flash strap loosely enough that your horse can still chew and swallow. It is there to keep the bit stable, not to hold the mouth shut.

Wipe the bridle down after every ride with a slightly damp cloth so sweat and sand do not dry onto the leather. Let it dry at room temperature and hang it on a wide bracket, never close to a heater.

This bridle suits riders who want to tack up and untack quickly: in a busy yard, when you ride several horses, or when you use the same bridle for more than one horse. It works well for daily training and for riders who are used to a combined noseband.

If your horse has a finer head, look instead at a model in our range that also comes in Cob. If you would rather have a complete set straight away, choose a bridle that is supplied with reins. And if you prefer to work without a flash strap, a bridle with a plain or a drop noseband makes more sense.

No. This bridle is supplied without reins. You choose the reins separately.
