Brush hair, sand and sweat out of the wool after every ride: it stays soft for longer and you need to wash less often. Close the hook and loop before putting the cover in the machine, so it does not catch on the wool.

Wash at 30 °C on a cool wool cycle or by hand, using a wool detergent. Straighten the cover well after washing and let it air dry. Do not use strong fabric softener and never put it in the tumble dryer. If you ride a grey horse, bear in mind that black wool can transfer slightly onto a light coat.

Fit the cover around your dressage girth with the wool side towards the horse and the tabs facing backwards, then close the two hook and loop straps in the middle. Slide the elastic loops over the girth straps. After use, brush out dirt and sweat. Wash at 30 °C on a cool wool cycle or by hand, with the hook and loop closed, straighten the cover and let it air dry.
