Product Information
The Samshield Miami Matt is a men's show jacket with a matt finish, cut from an ultralight French fabric with 360 degree stretch. You can wear it schooling as well as competing, in show jumping, dressage and eventing. The jacket is unlined and therefore especially light. You choose between black and navy, in sizes XS (Men 44) up to XXL (Men 54).
About this show jacket
Miami Matt is the men's model in which Samshield strips the classic show jacket back to its essentials: a light technical fabric, a matt finish and as few visible details as possible.
The fabric is ultralight and stretches in every direction, which Samshield calls 360 degree stretch. In practice it means no movement runs into the jacket: not when you fold forward over a fence, not when you have to bring your outside shoulder with you through a turn, and not when you mount. The fabric is breathable and hydrophilic, meaning it takes up moisture and moves it outwards instead of holding it against your shirt. That keeps you feeling fresher for longer during hard work.
The composition differs per fabric section. The main material is 66% polyamide and 34% elastane, the second 73% polyamide and 27% elastane. Both carry a high elastane content, which explains the pronounced stretch.
The jacket is unlined. That saves weight and removes a warm layer, which makes it well suited to warmer days and to schooling. The flip side is that on colder days you will want a little more underneath.
Visually it stays minimal: a matt fabric with no sheen, tone-on-tone details and a metal Samshield logo on the sleeve as the only accent. Black gives you the most neutral look, navy a slightly softer one. Both colours work with white breeches and with just about any saddle pad colour.
