Description
The Cavalor Gastro Aid Paste is a complementary feed supplement in paste form, made up of herbs and inactive yeast cultures. You give the paste with the syringe, straight into the mouth. That is practical during transport or at a show, and with a horse that eats poorly or refuses powder in its feed. Within the Gastro Aid range Cavalor positions the paste as the starting form; for daily, longer-term use the powder or liquid version is the better fit.
About this paste
The formula consists mainly of herbs and inactive yeast cultures. The herbs used are Gentiana lutea, Melissa officinalis, Glycyrrhiza glabra, Zingiber officinale and Centaurium erythraea. The paste is concentrated, so it does not have to be mixed through the feed.
Cavalor works with a set schedule: 6 days at 2 syringes per day (120 g), followed by 6 days at 1 syringe per day (60 g). After that you can switch to the powder or liquid version for daily use. That adds up to a twelve-day course, covered by a single pack.
Sound feeding management remains the basis of any ration. Provide enough hay, spread across the day, and keep the amount of sugar and starch per meal limited. Gastro Aid Paste comes on top of that; it does not replace it.
Not sure which form to pick? The paste is the practical choice for short, targeted use, for instance when you are travelling. For daily use over several weeks, the powder and liquid versions of Gastro Aid are easier to mix through the ration.
