Between two sizes? We usually recommend the larger size, unless stated otherwise on the product. In our experience, Italian brands (such as Animo, Cavalleria Toscana and Vestrum) tend to come up small.
Rugs
How to measure your horse: using a soft tape measure, measure from the centre of the chest, over the point of the shoulder, horizontally along the body to the furthest point of the hindquarters. This is the total length.
Always check the brand's size chart. A rug size in cm (for example 125 or 145) is the back length for most brands, and how it converts to feet differs per brand. Some brands, such as Bucas, also measure differently. That's why every rug comes with the brand's own size information.
The table below converts the total length from feet to cm. This conversion is the same for every brand.

Product Information
The Cavalleria Toscana Pure Wool Turtleneck Sweater for women is a high-grade knitted sweater with a high neck, developed for warmth and comfort on cold days. The material composition of 90% wool and 10% cashmere makes this model particularly suitable for riders who want a natural, warm layer both in the saddle and out of it.
About this sweater
The high neck gives extra cover around the neck and makes the sweater practical when the temperature drops. Cavalleria Toscana combines that warmth with a clean, minimalist silhouette. You can therefore wear the sweater on its own or layer it under a jacket when you need more protection from the cold.
The composition deserves particular attention. Although the official product name says “Pure Wool”, the material specification states 90% wool (WO) and 10% cashmere (WS). Cashmere is likewise a natural animal fibre and makes up 10% of the fabric composition in this model. For an accurate product description, the stated material composition is therefore what counts.
This Cavalleria Toscana turtleneck is specifically designed to be comfortable while riding as well. The manufacturer states a comfortable fit in the saddle and in leisure use. The model has no technical membranes, water-repellent finish or other weather-protective properties. Its function lies squarely in warmth and wearing comfort.
The design has been kept deliberately simple. At the front sits an embroidered Cavalleria Toscana logo, which gives the sweater a recognisable but understated finish. The light colour Rainy Day matches that minimalist character.
Because of the wool-cashmere blend, this sweater asks more care than a synthetic technical sweater. It must be washed by hand and must not go in the tumble dryer. If you mainly want an easy-care training layer that needs washing often, a technical sweater is the better choice. For cold days where natural materials, warmth and a groomed look come first, this turtleneck is a fitting choice.
