Between two sizes? We usually recommend the larger size, unless stated otherwise on the product. In our experience, Italian brands (such as Animo, Cavalleria Toscana and Vestrum) tend to come up small.
Rugs
How to measure your horse: using a soft tape measure, measure from the centre of the chest, over the point of the shoulder, horizontally along the body to the furthest point of the hindquarters. This is the total length.
Always check the brand's size chart. A rug size in cm (for example 125 or 145) is the back length for most brands, and how it converts to feet differs per brand. Some brands, such as Bucas, also measure differently. That's why every rug comes with the brand's own size information.
The table below converts the total length from feet to cm. This conversion is the same for every brand.

Product Information
The Cavalleria Toscana Hooded Down Jacket is a padded equestrian jacket for women, with duck down, a detachable hood and cuffs with thumbholes. The model combines warmth with a slim silhouette, so you keep moving in the saddle the way you are used to. That makes this down jacket mainly intended for riders who want a warm outer layer at lower temperatures without unnecessary bulk.
About this down jacket
The duck down filling provides the thermal insulation of the jacket. Cavalleria Toscana aimed the construction at thermoregulation, a slim profile and freedom of movement in the saddle. The jacket therefore stays practical while riding as well.
The sleeves end in cuffs with thumbholes. They help keep the sleeves in place and give extra cover around wrist and hand. The hood is detachable, so you can easily adapt the jacket to the weather or to your own preference.
The details are worked out functionally too. The jacket has coated black zips with matt black, inverted trapezoid zip pullers, functional pockets and an internal jersey pocket with silicone print. The recognisable Cavalleria Toscana logo sits on the shoulder.
The outer fabric is 100% polyester. Together with the down filling, that makes it an insulating outer layer for cold days at the yard, on the road and on horseback. The colour Rainy Day gives the technical design a light, understated look.
One thing to know: the zips are coated, but Cavalleria Toscana says nothing about waterproofness, water column or a fully waterproof construction. If you ride or work in heavy rain for long stretches, you are better served by a jacket that is explicitly described as waterproof.
