What long sleeves mean in the ring. In showjumping, the FEI rules ask for white cuffs with long sleeves, alongside a white collar and a white tie, stock or choker. For children and pony riders, the whole shirt has to be white, and a white shirt meets that requirement too.

Dressage works differently. Internationally, the dressage rules say nothing about the shirt and ask only for a white or off white stock or tie. At Belgian national level a white shirt is required, and without a jacket the sleeves have to cover at least the shoulders. At the LRV a white shirt or a white polo is enough and the tie drops away in the summer uniform. Rules differ by federation, by discipline and by level and are adjusted regularly, so read the current rules of your own federation.

The limits of this shirt. Technical jersey is thin: the shirt holds no warmth and calls for a layer over it in the cold season. Heat-sealed seams tolerate little heat, so the bib is not the part to press flat with a hot iron. And there is one size left in one colour, so there is little to choose: white in size M.
