Stübben Brush On Detangling Spray

Spray onto a dry or lightly damp mane or tail and give the product a few seconds to absorb before you start brushing. Work from the ends towards the roots, strand by strand: that way you do not pull a knot out of the tail dock.

For stains on the coat, spray precisely onto the spot and let the product loosen the dirt before you use a brush. Keep the spray out of the girth area and away from the saddle region, so saddle, girth and boots keep their grip.

If you work with a refill, decant calmly using a funnel and leave the spray head on the 500 ml bottle. Store the stock in a well-ventilated place and keep it cool, as Stübben prescribes, and out of reach of children.

This spray suits horses with full manes and tails and yards with several horses: you start with the 500 ml bottle and then top up from a refill of 1 L, 2.5 L or 5 L. For one horse and occasional use, the 500 ml bottle is enough on its own.

Do I need to rinse the spray out?
No. Stübben has you spray it on, let it absorb for a few seconds, and then brush through from the ends to the roots.

Do the fragrances differ in action too?
No. The base formula is the same; the difference lies in the perfume components the brand lists per fragrance.

Can I use it on the coat?
Yes. Stübben states you can also spray it onto the coat to loosen stains, with no rinsing.

Are there any warnings?

Does it contain silicones?
According to the safety data sheet the formula contains dimethylpolysiloxane, 1 to 5 %. If you want a silicone-free product for plaiting, the Leovet 5-Star Vlechtgel is the one.

How many bottles does one refill fill?
Stübben makes no statement about that, so neither do we. You decant until the bottle is full.

What is the pH?
Between 7 and 7.5 according to the brand's safety data sheet.
