HFI Bridle Padded

This bridle comes in Cob and Full. Cob generally suits a finer head or a large pony, Full an average warmblood head. Padded straps build up some thickness, so do not only measure length but also bear in mind that a padded noseband sits higher than a flat one.

Fit the bridle in the right order: first the cheekpieces, so the bit lies quietly in the corners of the mouth, then the noseband with two fingers of room, and only then the flash strap, which should never be tighter than the noseband. Check that the padded parts really lie flat and do not curl up anywhere.

Padded leather asks for regular care, because dirt and sweat creep into the seams. Clean the bridle with a damp cloth and a mild leather soap, paying attention to the edges of the lining, then feed it with leather balm in thin layers. Rinse the rubber reins with water and let them air dry.

This model suits riders who train daily and deliberately choose a padded bridle, and horses that are sensitive across the nose or behind the ears. It is suitable for dressage work and for everyday training, and the classic finish also makes it usable in the arena.
