Size. Full is the usual size for a fully grown warmblood, Cob for a finer or shorter head. Measure your current bridle if you are torn between the two: the noseband length is usually the clearest difference.

Fitting. Set the headpiece so that it lies just behind the ears and does not press against the base of the ears. With an anatomical headpiece you soon notice whether it sits correctly: it follows the poll without tilting. The noseband belongs roughly two fingers below the cheekbone, with two fingers of room.

Care. Wipe the leather down after every ride with a damp cloth and clean it regularly with saddle soap. Follow with a thin layer of leather balm, especially in the folds by the buckles. Polish around the crystals dry and keep soap and grease away from the stones so they stay clear. Let wet leather dry gently at room temperature.

This bridle is intended for the dressage or leisure rider who wants one bridle for everything, with a finish that does not look out of place in competition. The anatomical headpiece also makes it interesting for horses that are sensitive behind the ears.

If you prefer a strictly classic look without sparkle, a plain bridle without crystals suits you better. If you ride mainly out hacking or jump a lot in all weathers, a simpler working bridle from our range is more practical to look after. And if you want a bridle that is complete straight away, look at a model that does come with reins.

Why an anatomical headpiece?
Because it is wider where it bears weight and follows the shape of the head. The weight of the bridle therefore rests on a larger area than with a narrow straight strap.

Where are the crystals?
On the browband and on the noseband, so that both lines on the head follow on from one another.

Can I use this bridle every day?
Yes. It is suitable for training and for competition. Do clean it regularly, as crystals ask for a little more attention than a plain bridle.

How do I care for the leather?
