Product Information
The Samshield Edouard Matt Full Grip is a pair of men's riding breeches with a full silicone seat and a matt finish. They are built on the Marceau model and made for riders who want plenty of stability in the seat combined with a sober, elegant look. Suitable for daily training and for the competition arena.
About these breeches
The Edouard Matt starts from the same base model as the Marceau, but has been given its own finish: a fabric with a matt look and a soft touch. Where many technical breeches have a slight sheen, these stay understated. That makes them interesting for anyone who wants a smart look without the breeches drawing attention.
The seat is fully covered in silicone. With a Full Grip, the grip runs from your seat bones down into the knee, so you make contact with the saddle across a large surface. That leaves you more stable, particularly during explosive movements and in technical dressage work where you have to keep your seat firm. You need to grip less with your leg to stay in place.
The fabric is made of 72% polyamide and 28% elastane. That gives an elastic, hard-wearing and breathable material with a compression effect: the breeches sit close around the leg without pinching, and hold that shape even after a long ride. The cut is sporty, with a mid-rise waistband suited to the male build. The breeches have also been given a dirt- and water-repellent treatment, so they keep looking smart for longer, even after intensive training or a day on the yard.
At the bottom, elastic leg finishes give a smooth fit inside the riding boot. They keep the leg flat, so no folds or friction points build up under your boot.
