NAF Braiding Mousse 500ml

Start with a combed-through, dry mane. Apply the mousse to the section you are working on: putting a lot of product over the whole mane at once does not make the job faster. For a plaited tail, spread the mousse in your hands first and run it through the top hairs.

Use the usual aids to finish the job: bands or plaiting thread, and a plaiting needle for dressage bobbles. To set the plaits more firmly afterwards, we stock the Quick Knot Wax Stick. NAF gives no cautions or storage advice for this product; avoid the eyes and keep the bottle well closed and frost-free.

Choose the mousse when you want plaits that stay put: competition plaits, a tail plait or a tidy mane for a shoot. It is most useful on fine or freshly washed manes, where without grip you have to start over again and again, and on a tail you want to plait in tightly.

If you want to comb smoothly through without grip, the NAF Silky Mane & Tail Ontklittende spray is the opposite product and the better choice. Is it a mousse or a spray?
NAF calls the product a mousse but lists 500 ml Spray in the size selector of its own shop. The bottle is therefore a foam or spray bottle; it is one and the same product.

How much mousse do I use?
NAF gives no dosage. Work section by section and add more where you need extra grip.

Can I use it in the tail?
Yes. NAF names mane and tail, so a plaited tail as well.

What is in this mousse?
NAF publishes no ingredient list. The composition that used to be on our page did not come from the brand and has been removed.

Do I have to rinse it out?
NAF mentions no rinsing step for this product.

Will the plaiting hold during the round?
NAF states that with Plait It Up you get each plait tight enough and that it will not come loose in the ring. The brand gives no guarantee for a whole day.

Is there a larger size?
No. NAF offers Plait It Up in 500 ml only.

May I use it at a competition?
NAF gives no information about rules or withdrawal times. Check your own federation's rules.
