Size guide

A correct size is essential for both comfort and performance in equestrian sports. At Maddelin Equestrian, we are happy to help you choose the right size so that your equipment fits perfectly—whether it's riding apparel, helmets, boots, or accessories.
A well-fitting outfit not only ensures greater comfort but also better performance in the saddle. Clothing that is too tight or too loose can restrict your freedom of movement and affect your aids. Therefore, we recommend always measuring accurately and using our size charts as a guide.
Our size charts are organized by product category and brand, allowing you to choose as precisely as possible. Because fits can vary by brand, you will find specific information with each product to guide you.
How to measure correctly?
For the best results, always measure with a flexible tape measure, close to the body but without tightening.
-
Chest circumference: measure around the widest part of the chest
-
Waist: measure around the narrowest part of your waist
-
Hips: measure around the widest part of the hips
-
Inseam length: measure from groin to ankle
-
Head circumference (helmets): measure just above the eyebrows and ears
-
Calf circumference & height (boots/chaps): measure the widest part of the calf and the height from heel to hollow of the knee
If you are in doubt between two sizes? We usually advise choosing the larger size for extra comfort, unless otherwise stated with the product.
At Maddelin, we believe that the right fit makes all the difference between just riding and truly riding well. Use our size charts as a guide and confidently choose the size that suits you and your horse.
Stübben Fine Line Snaffle – 12mm
The Stübben Fine Line 12 mm snaffle is specifically designed for riders using a double bridle combination and aiming for maximum refinement in their aids. This elegant and slim bit offers a subtle, light connection that perfectly suits the needs of sensitive and well-schooled dressage horses.
Thanks to its fine profile of only 12 mm, this snaffle bit takes up little space in the horse's mouth, leaving ample room for the curb bit. This ensures more comfort and correct positioning of both bits, which is essential for harmonious and effective action.
The loose rings promote a lively and relaxed contact, while encouraging the horse to make active contact. Depending on the version (single- or double-jointed), the mouthpiece ensures gentle and even pressure distribution on the tongue and bars, without unnecessary tension.
The high-quality stainless steel guarantees durability, hygiene, and a timeless appearance. The fine finish and slim shape make this bit not only functional but also particularly stylish in the competition arena.
Why choose the Stübben Fine Line snaffle:
Fine mouthpiece: more room for curb and extra comfort
Elegant shape: refined appearance in the arena
Loose rings: promote relaxation and contact
Gentle action: even pressure distribution
High-quality stainless steel: durable and easy to maintain
Ideal for dressage: perfect for double bridle combination
