Between two sizes? We usually recommend the larger size, unless stated otherwise on the product. In our experience, Italian brands (such as Animo, Cavalleria Toscana and Vestrum) tend to come up small.

Rugs

How to measure your horse: using a soft tape measure, measure from the centre of the chest, over the point of the shoulder, horizontally along the body to the furthest point of the hindquarters. This is the total length.

Always check the brand's size chart. A rug size in cm (for example 125 or 145) is the back length for most brands, and how it converts to feet differs per brand. Some brands, such as Bucas, also measure differently. That's why every rug comes with the brand's own size information.

The table below converts the total length from feet to cm. This conversion is the same for every brand.

The BR ECOSoft saddle pad with a free spine channel has been developed to noticeably improve comfort under the saddle, without compromising stability. This half pad supports even pressure distribution and helps the saddle lie more still, which is especially nice for horses that react sensitively to pressure on their back.

About this half pad

The soft ECOSoft faux fur finish gives this saddle pad a luxurious, woolly look and feels pleasant on the horse's back. The material provides cushioning and comfort, while remaining breathable. This makes this pad particularly suitable for daily training, longer rides, and horses with sensitive skin who benefit from a softer contact layer.

The anatomical shape with spinal clearance is a major plus. By keeping the spine channel free, pressure on the spine is limited, and your horse gains more freedom of movement under the saddle. This contributes to a more comfortable feeling, a more stable saddle position, and more relaxation during riding. You use this half pad directly on the back or between the saddle and a saddle blanket, depending on what best suits your horse and your saddle setup. This way, you easily choose extra support, softness, and a refined finish in one practical saddle pad.
