Choose your size by the head, not by the horse's height. Full suits an average warmblood head, Cob a finer or shorter head. Ponies and cobs are usually fine in Cob, but a large pony with a broad head may just as well need Full. If in doubt, measure your current bridle and compare noseband, cheekpiece and headpiece.

Fit the noseband with two fingers flat between the strap and the nasal bone, and place it high enough that it rests on the bony part of the nose. Once it is on, check that the broad padding of the headpiece sits neatly behind the ears and that the base of the ears stays free.

Supple leather stays supple through care. Wipe the bridle down after riding with a slightly damp cloth, especially around the bit and noseband where saliva and sweat collect. Treat it a few times each season with leather balm or leather grease. Let wet leather dry at room temperature, never next to a heater. With the lighter Oak version, take a little more care with dark polishing products, as they can transfer onto the pale leather and the off-white stitching.

This bridle is intended for riders who want classic elegance and wearing comfort together, and who value the contrast stitching as a finishing touch. It works well in dressage and in daily training, and it is smart enough for competition.

If you are after a completely plain bridle without contrast, a model with stitching in the same colour as the leather is the better choice within our range. If you want a noseband with a flash strap, choose a model with a combined noseband. And if you mainly jump and want more room around the nostrils, look at a model with a grackle noseband.

Why is the noseband padded more widely in the middle?
Because that is where the noseband makes the most contact with the nasal bone. Wider padding at that point spreads the pressure over a larger surface, while the strap stays slim at the sides.

Is this bridle suitable for daily use?
Yes. It is intended for daily training, dressage lessons and competition.

How do I care for the leather?
Wipe it down after riding with a slightly damp cloth and feed it a few times each season with leather balm. Let it dry at room temperature. With the Oak version, take care with dark polishing products.
