Clothing that is too tight or too loose can restrict your freedom of movement and affect your aids. Always measure carefully and use our size charts as a guide.

Between two sizes? We usually recommend the larger size, unless stated otherwise on the product. In our experience, Italian brands (such as Animo, Cavalleria Toscana and Vestrum) tend to come up small.
Rugs
How to measure your horse: using a soft tape measure, measure from the centre of the chest, over the point of the shoulder, horizontally along the body to the furthest point of the hindquarters. This is the total length.
Always check the brand's size chart. A rug size in cm (for example 125 or 145) is the back length for most brands, and how it converts to feet differs per brand. Some brands, such as Bucas, also measure differently. That's why every rug comes with the brand's own size information.
The table below converts the total length from feet to cm. This conversion is the same for every brand.

Product Information
The Boss Equestrian Santiago Headcollar & Panama Rope Set is a headcollar with a matching lead rope, supplied together as one set. It is stable kit for everyday use: catching your horse, grooming, leading in hand and moving from the stall to the field or the trailer. Headcollar and rope are matched, which saves you the endless hunt for a rope that almost goes with it.
About this set
The headcollar is finished with a soft, padded teddy lining on the noseband, headpiece and cheekpieces. That lining sits exactly where a headcollar presses on your horse’s head. For horses that rub quickly behind the ears or across the nose, it is the difference between a headcollar that stays where you put it and one your horse keeps rubbing against.
With the headcollar comes a Panama rope in the same colourway, with a metal snap hook and a teddy finish that ties in with the headcollar. Having the two matched sounds like a detail, but it saves you a lot of searching.
One thing we will say straight away: BOSS supplied no product specifications for this set. There is no material breakdown, no weight, no EAN and no sizing, neither for the headcollar nor for the length of the rope. We do not fill those gaps with assumptions. If you need that data before you decide, let us know and we will request it from BOSS.
The set is ordered in Black, Soft Cream and Camel, each in the single size BOSS designates as Full. The same reservation applies: without a size chart we cannot tell you exactly which head circumferences that Full covers.
The Santiago set is not tied to one discipline and is as much at home in a dressage yard as in a jumping yard. If you want certainty about exact sizing and material composition before you buy, a model with that data documented is the safer choice for now.
