Size chart

The right size is essential for comfort, safety and performance in equestrian sport. At Maddelin Equestrian we're happy to help you choose the right size, so your equipment fits well: riding wear, helmets, boots or equipment for your horse.
Clothing that is too tight or too loose can restrict your freedom of movement and affect your aids. Always measure carefully and use our size charts as a guide.
Fit varies from brand to brand, so you'll find specific information on each product page. Not sure? Send us a message or come and try in our shop in Torhout.

Between two sizes? We usually recommend the larger size, unless stated otherwise on the product. In our experience, Italian brands (such as Animo, Cavalleria Toscana and Vestrum) tend to come up small.
Rugs
How to measure your horse: using a soft tape measure, measure from the centre of the chest, over the point of the shoulder, horizontally along the body to the furthest point of the hindquarters. This is the total length.
Always check the brand's size chart. A rug size in cm (for example 125 or 145) is the back length for most brands, and how it converts to feet differs per brand. Some brands, such as Bucas, also measure differently. That's why every rug comes with the brand's own size information.
The table below converts the total length from feet to cm. This conversion is the same for every brand.

Product Information
The Boss Equestrian Ron Beanie is a knitted hat for cold days, made from a warm wool blend. The model combines a soft material structure with a fine ribbed knit and a subtle Boss logo. This beanie is therefore intended for riders and horse owners who are looking for extra warmth in the stable, on the go or around competitions.
About this hat
The material composition consists of 80% wool and 20% polyamide. The high percentage of wool gives the hat its warm character, while polyamide is added to the material mix. Boss Equestrian describes the material as soft and warming, making the Ron Beanie specifically suitable for use in lower temperatures.
A practical detail is the elastic cuff. This ensures that the hat fits comfortably around the head. The cuff simultaneously forms an important part of the classic beanie construction and helps to position the hat well while wearing it.
The fine ribbed knit gives the Ron Beanie a calm, modern look. The finish is deliberately kept simple, with a subtle Boss logo as a recognizable detail. This allows the hat to be easily combined with various winter riding and stable outfits.
In equestrian sports, a warm hat is especially practical when you are not riding: for example, during work in the stable, when caring for your horse, while waiting between competition classes or on the way to and from the stable. A regular knitted hat is not intended to be worn under a safety helmet. When riding a horse while wearing a riding helmet, you should therefore use the helmet as prescribed by the helmet manufacturer.
The Ron Beanie is particularly interesting when warmth and a high wool content are important criteria. If you are looking for very light headwear for milder weather, a thinner accessory may be more suitable.
