Between two sizes? We usually recommend the larger size, unless stated otherwise on the product. In our experience, Italian brands (such as Animo, Cavalleria Toscana and Vestrum) tend to come up small.
Rugs
How to measure your horse: using a soft tape measure, measure from the centre of the chest, over the point of the shoulder, horizontally along the body to the furthest point of the hindquarters. This is the total length.
Always check the brand's size chart. A rug size in cm (for example 125 or 145) is the back length for most brands, and how it converts to feet differs per brand. Some brands, such as Bucas, also measure differently. That's why every rug comes with the brand's own size information.
The table below converts the total length from feet to cm. This conversion is the same for every brand.

Product Information
The Boss Equestrian Nora Petite Puffer Jacket is a short, quilted women's jacket from the FW26 collection. Boss Equestrian does not provide its own product description for this model. Everything you read below is therefore based on the data that was provided: the material composition, weight, washing instructions, and official product images.
About this jacket
The outer fabric consists of 100% nylon in a 15D 500T quality with coating. The designation 15D stands for a very fine yarn, 500T for a tightly woven structure. In practice, this results in a lightweight fabric that creates little bulk: the stated net weight is 272 grams in size XL. For a jacket that you take on and off between stable visits, that makes a difference.
For this fabric, Boss notes the designations WINDBREAK and W/R (water repellent), followed by a code number for which no explanation or test standard is provided in the supplied specifications. We therefore adopt these designations as Boss writes them, without attributing a water column or windproof value to them. So do not consider the Nora a rain jacket: for a long, wet outdoor ride, it is better to choose a model with documented waterproofing.
The same applies to warmth. The product specifications do not mention any filling material or insulation value. We cannot say whether it is down or synthetic wadding based on the information provided, and therefore we will not make any statements about it. If you want to be sure before ordering, please let us know; we will check with Boss.
The product images show a short model with a round, collarless neckline and a button closure, two patch breast pockets, and a small Boss logo patch on the chest. The collarless neckline is easy to combine with a turtleneck or a scarf, and due to its short length, the jacket will not get in your way when you mount. Boss provides no information on fit and sizing, so we deliberately make no statements about it.
If you are looking for a jacket to get through a long winter morning in the stable, then a longer and heavier model with a specified filling is a safer choice. The Nora is more suitable for those looking for a light, short transitional jacket that you can quickly throw on and that works just as well outside the stable.
