Clothing that is too tight or too loose can restrict your freedom of movement and affect your aids. Always measure carefully and use our size charts as a guide.

Between two sizes? We usually recommend the larger size, unless stated otherwise on the product. In our experience, Italian brands (such as Animo, Cavalleria Toscana and Vestrum) tend to come up small.
Rugs
How to measure your horse: using a soft tape measure, measure from the centre of the chest, over the point of the shoulder, horizontally along the body to the furthest point of the hindquarters. This is the total length.
Always check the brand's size chart. A rug size in cm (for example 125 or 145) is the back length for most brands, and how it converts to feet differs per brand. Some brands, such as Bucas, also measure differently. That's why every rug comes with the brand's own size information.
The table below converts the total length from feet to cm. This conversion is the same for every brand.

Product Information
The Boss Equestrian Jordan Cable Knit Turtleneck is a knitted sweater with a classic cable pattern and a warm roll neck. Boss Equestrian positions it as a timeless basic for cold days rather than as technical riding wear. You pull it on when you walk into the yard in the morning, and it still looks right when you stop somewhere else afterwards.
About this sweater
The fabric is 55% acrylic and 45% cotton. You can feel what that ratio does: the cotton gives the inside a soft, skin-friendly hand and keeps the sweater from feeling stuffy, while the acrylic holds the weight down and helps the cable keep its structure. A pure wool sweater insulates more strongly, but it also weighs more and asks for more care in the wash.
The roll neck decides how you wear this sweater in practice. It closes the neck completely, welcome when the wind cuts across the arena or when you head out to the field early in the morning. It does not open, though: if you warm up while mucking out or lunging, your only option is to take a whole layer off rather than vent for a moment.
Sleeves and hem finish in fine ribbed cuffs. That is more than trim: ribbed cuffs stay where you put them when you raise your arms to straighten a rug or hang up a bridle, and the hem is slower to ride up under a bodywarmer or jacket.
The finish stays quiet. A faux leather logo patch sits on the sleeve, and beyond that Boss lets the cable pattern do the work. Do bear in mind that a cable structure carries more volume than a flat knit: under a close-cut show jacket that reads as bulk, under a roomier winter coat you will not notice it.
The Jordan is not tied to one discipline and was never developed as riding wear. It belongs in the yard, on the way to the riding school and off the premises too. If you want a layer you can open and close in the saddle to manage your temperature, a zipped pullover suits you better. And for real frost, wool or a lined jacket insulate more.
