Between two sizes? We usually recommend the larger size, unless stated otherwise on the product. In our experience, Italian brands (such as Animo, Cavalleria Toscana and Vestrum) tend to come up small.
Rugs
How to measure your horse: using a soft tape measure, measure from the centre of the chest, over the point of the shoulder, horizontally along the body to the furthest point of the hindquarters. This is the total length.
Always check the brand's size chart. A rug size in cm (for example 125 or 145) is the back length for most brands, and how it converts to feet differs per brand. Some brands, such as Bucas, also measure differently. That's why every rug comes with the brand's own size information.
The table below converts the total length from feet to cm. This conversion is the same for every brand.

Product Information
The Boss Equestrian Jessy Hybrid Puffer Jacket is a women's hooded padded jacket that combines two different fabric qualities in one design. Boss Equestrian describes the model as a straight-cut outerwear piece made from a material mix, wind and water repellent, breathable and warm, and offering complete freedom of movement.
About this jacket
The first fabric is 100% polyester with a waterproof finish and a rating of 10,000/10,000 according to JIS. The second fabric weighs 355 g/m² and consists of 51% polyester, 22% cotton, 22% viscose, and 5% elastane. The elastane is therefore in this second quality, and that is precisely the stretch that the waterproof finished fabric itself does not have.
That is exactly what a hybrid construction provides in the saddle: the weather-resistant fabric keeps wind and wet away from the most exposed areas, while the flexible quality moves with your shoulders, arms, and torso as you work. The product photos show the padded panels on the front, back, and hood, and the smoother quality on the sleeves and side panels. However, Boss does not specify in the provided specifications which fabric is on which panel, so that correlation is not presented as a definitive given here.
The model has a straight cut and fastens with a full-length zipper with a Boss puller. The hood is made in the same padded quality as the front and back panels and provides extra coverage when it is windy or drizzling on the way to the pasture. Boss does not provide details on the filling of these padded sections: neither the composition nor an insulation value is listed in the specifications. Therefore, we do not express how warm the jacket is in numbers here.
The finishing remains understated. Boss mentions an imitation leather logo patch for this model; in the photos, the brand is otherwise only found on the sleeve and the zipper puller. The contrast between the padded sections and the plain panels determines the structure of the jacket, not the logo.
The Jessy is the women's version of the Jeff Hybrid Puffer Jacket, is not tied to a single discipline, and is suitable for both stable work and outdoor rides in a wet Belgian winter season. If you are looking for a layer that only keeps your torso warm and leaves your arms completely free, then a padded body warmer like the Viola Knitted Puffer Vest is the more logical choice. If you want a completely waterproof rain jacket without padding, then an unlined rain model better suits that need.
