Size guide

A correct size is essential for both comfort and performance in equestrian sports. At Maddelin Equestrian, we are happy to help you choose the right size so that your equipment fits perfectly—whether it's riding apparel, helmets, boots, or accessories.
A well-fitting outfit not only ensures greater comfort but also better performance in the saddle. Clothing that is too tight or too loose can restrict your freedom of movement and affect your aids. Therefore, we recommend always measuring accurately and using our size charts as a guide.
Our size charts are organized by product category and brand, allowing you to choose as precisely as possible. Because fits can vary by brand, you will find specific information with each product to guide you.
How to measure correctly?
For the best results, always measure with a flexible tape measure, close to the body but without tightening.
-
Chest circumference: measure around the widest part of the chest
-
Waist: measure around the narrowest part of your waist
-
Hips: measure around the widest part of the hips
-
Inseam length: measure from groin to ankle
-
Head circumference (helmets): measure just above the eyebrows and ears
-
Calf circumference & height (boots/chaps): measure the widest part of the calf and the height from heel to hollow of the knee
If you are in doubt between two sizes? We usually advise choosing the larger size for extra comfort, unless otherwise stated with the product.
At Maddelin, we believe that the right fit makes all the difference between just riding and truly riding well. Use our size charts as a guide and confidently choose the size that suits you and your horse.
The BOSS Equestrian James Knee Grip breeches for men are designed for riders who want to combine comfort, grip, and a modern look in one pair of breeches. These breeches support you during intense training sessions and long rides, while the stylish finish perfectly matches the elegant BOSS Equestrian collection.
Thanks to the silicone knee grip, you maintain a stable and controlled seat in the saddle. The grip provides extra contact with the saddle without restricting your freedom of movement. This allows you to apply your aids more precisely and ride comfortably, regardless of discipline or training level.
The technical stretch fabric conforms to the body and moves effortlessly with every movement of the rider. This not only ensures a comfortable fit but also prevents pressure points during riding. The breathable properties of the fabric also help to dissipate excess heat and moisture, which makes a big difference, especially during intense training sessions.
The James breeches feature a sleek, sporty design with subtle BOSS Equestrian details. This makes them not only functional in the saddle but also stylish in the stable or during competitions.
