Between two sizes? We usually recommend the larger size, unless stated otherwise on the product. In our experience, Italian brands (such as Animo, Cavalleria Toscana and Vestrum) tend to come up small.
Rugs
How to measure your horse: using a soft tape measure, measure from the centre of the chest, over the point of the shoulder, horizontally along the body to the furthest point of the hindquarters. This is the total length.
Always check the brand's size chart. A rug size in cm (for example 125 or 145) is the back length for most brands, and how it converts to feet differs per brand. Some brands, such as Bucas, also measure differently. That's why every rug comes with the brand's own size information.
The table below converts the total length from feet to cm. This conversion is the same for every brand.

The Boss Equestrian Hailey High Waist Full Grip are women's riding breeches with a sculpted high waist, a zip fly with two hook fastenings, and a silicone grip that extends onto the front of the leg. The fabric is a breathable power-stretch of 73% polyamide and 27% elastane. Maddelin stocks this model in Tealeaf and Tortoise.
About these breeches
This Hailey comes from the Boss Equestrian FW26 collection and is a BOSS article in its own right (B8W1303). It shares its name with the Hailey in white, black and beige, but BOSS has made it differently in several respects: the grip, the fastening and the composition are not the same.
Grip that reaches the front of the leg
These are Full Grip breeches: BOSS describes a full silicone grip that extends onto the front of the leg. That is what sets this Hailey apart from the other BOSS Full Grip models at Maddelin.
High waist, classic fastening
BOSS describes a sculpted high waist. The breeches close with a zip fly and two hook fastenings. So these are breeches in the classic sense, fastened at the front, rather than a pull-on style without a fastening. The pockets are trimmed with the stripe BOSS uses as a signature detail.
Fabric and composition
The fabric is a breathable power-stretch made of 73% polyamide and 27% elastane. That is a slightly higher share of elastane than in the Hailey in white, black and beige (75% polyamide, 25% elastane). The silicone grip is not included in these percentages.
Colours and use
Maddelin stocks this Hailey in Tealeaf, from XXS to XL, and in Tortoise, in XS, S and M. These are seasonal colours for training and everyday riding, at the yard and in lessons. White is allowed in all disciplines; off-white is also allowed in FEI dressage, light fawn in FEI showjumping. At Flemish dressage competitions you may depart from competition dress in the warm-up arena. Rules differ by federation, discipline, level and country and change regularly: check your federation's current rules.
Care is the same as for the other BOSS breeches: wash at 30 °C on a delicate programme, no bleach, no tumble dryer, no ironing and no dry cleaning.
