Between two sizes? We usually recommend the larger size, unless stated otherwise on the product. In our experience, Italian brands (such as Animo, Cavalleria Toscana and Vestrum) tend to come up small.
Rugs
How to measure your horse: using a soft tape measure, measure from the centre of the chest, over the point of the shoulder, horizontally along the body to the furthest point of the hindquarters. This is the total length.
Always check the brand's size chart. A rug size in cm (for example 125 or 145) is the back length for most brands, and how it converts to feet differs per brand. Some brands, such as Bucas, also measure differently. That's why every rug comes with the brand's own size information.
The table below converts the total length from feet to cm. This conversion is the same for every brand.

Product Information
The Boss Equestrian Elony Knitwear Cardigan is a knitted cardigan with a ribbed stand-up collar, a button closure finished with velour piping, and two patch pockets. It is not a technical riding layer, but a cardigan you put on before and after working with your horse.
About this cardigan
The composition is 55% acrylic and 45% cotton. Boss Equestrian describes this yarn blend as soft and warm. The brand does not provide further technical data on insulation value or moisture regulation, so no claims are made here. What you do see in the photo is a full, sturdy knit that holds its shape.
The most distinctive detail is the button closure with velour piping that runs the full length of the cardigan. This piping visually breaks up the knit and gives the cardigan a neat, almost classic look. The ribbed stand-up collar closes high and keeps your neck out of the wind when you're grooming in the aisle.
On the front panels are two patch pockets with velour piping and a button closure. A side note: in its English product information, Boss Equestrian describes these pockets as ornamental pockets, while the German text speaks of pockets with a practical function. So, don't automatically assume you can fit your phone or gloves in them.
The rest of the finish is kept understated. Ribbed cuffs and hem keep the cardigan in shape, and beyond that, you'll only find a small metal stud with the Double B logo and the Boss Equestrian flag on the side.
The Elony can be worn over a shirt or a thin sweater, in the stable and just as well outside. If you are looking for a layer that you keep on during training or that needs to withstand wind and rain, then a functional gilet or a softshell is a more logical choice. And keep maintenance in mind: delicate wash at 30 °C, do not tumble dry.
