Between two sizes? We usually recommend the larger size, unless stated otherwise on the product. In our experience, Italian brands (such as Animo, Cavalleria Toscana and Vestrum) tend to come up small.
Rugs
How to measure your horse: using a soft tape measure, measure from the centre of the chest, over the point of the shoulder, horizontally along the body to the furthest point of the hindquarters. This is the total length.
Always check the brand's size chart. A rug size in cm (for example 125 or 145) is the back length for most brands, and how it converts to feet differs per brand. Some brands, such as Bucas, also measure differently. That's why every rug comes with the brand's own size information.
The table below converts the total length from feet to cm. This conversion is the same for every brand.

Product Information
The Boss Equestrian Davina Double B is a thin, elastic riding sock from the FW26 collection. It is knitted from a light 62 gsm nylon-elastane blend and takes up very little room in your boot. That is exactly what you want: the less fabric between your calf and the boot shaft, the less your fit changes and the better you keep feeling your horse.
About these socks
The sock carries the Double B logo in TPU metal print. That print is applied straight onto the knit rather than woven in, so there is no thicker thread structure on the inside to rub against your skin.
Underneath the foot sits a foot brake. Socks that slip down inside a boot bunch up under the heel or the ball of the foot, which is exactly where your weight rests in the stirrup. A grip zone that holds the sock in place saves you getting off halfway through a session to sort your boot out.
The Davina also has a reinforced toe and a pre-shaped heel. The toe wears fastest because it rubs against the toe of the boot with every stride; extra material there extends its life. The pre-shaped heel lets the sock follow the angle of your foot instead of running like a straight tube over the ankle, which keeps seams and creases off a sensitive spot.
The composition is 94% nylon and 6% elastane. Nylon is hard-wearing and dries fast; the elastane keeps the tension in the sock so it does not sag after washing. Wash at 30 °C: do not bleach, do not iron, do not dry clean and do not tumble dry.
One thing to be aware of: Boss Equestrian states no shaft height for the Davina. So we cannot tell you whether this sock comes up to the knee or stops shorter. If you need the certainty of a knee-high sock under a tall riding boot, choose a model with the height stated. And if warmth on cold winter days is the priority, a thicker thermal sock makes more sense than this light 62 gsm knit.
