Between two sizes? We usually recommend the larger size, unless stated otherwise on the product. In our experience, Italian brands (such as Animo, Cavalleria Toscana and Vestrum) tend to come up small.
Rugs
How to measure your horse: using a soft tape measure, measure from the centre of the chest, over the point of the shoulder, horizontally along the body to the furthest point of the hindquarters. This is the total length.
Always check the brand's size chart. A rug size in cm (for example 125 or 145) is the back length for most brands, and how it converts to feet differs per brand. Some brands, such as Bucas, also measure differently. That's why every rug comes with the brand's own size information.
The table below converts the total length from feet to cm. This conversion is the same for every brand.

Product Information
The Boss Equestrian Bella Beanie Bobble is a knitted hat with a pompom and cable knit pattern, designed for the cold months in the stable. Boss Equestrian describes the knit as exceptionally soft and anti-allergenic. It is an accessory for riders and horse owners who want to stay warm while grooming, cleaning, and waiting, without wearing a heavy, bulky hat.
About this hat
The material consists of 100% acrylic. As it contains no animal fibres, Boss Equestrian refers to it as an anti-allergenic knit. Practically, this also makes it easier to care for: while wool requires delicate handling, this hat can simply be washed at 30 degrees on a delicate cycle. Boss does not provide a thermal value or insulation rating, so we make no claims regarding that here.
The detail you'll notice most in practice is on the inside: a fleece lining in the forehead area. This is precisely where a hat rests against your skin for hours, and exactly where knitted acrylic can start to itch after a while. The soft fleece band takes over that contact point. If you're grooming in the aisle for an hour or waiting by the arena, that's the difference between a hat you keep on and a hat you take off.
The construction is classic: a folded brim, a cable knit pattern over the crown, and a pompom on top. This pompom gives the Bella its character, but also adds volume. As a result, the hat won't lie flat under a snug-fitting hood. If you want something that subtly disappears under a layer, keep that in mind.
The finish remains understated. On the cuff, there's a metal stud with the Double B logo, otherwise no print or embroidery. This keeps the hat neutral enough to wear with your club colours or stable attire on a competition day, rather than clashing with it.
The Bella Beanie Bobble is not tied to any discipline and is primarily intended for moments off the horse: stable work, grooming, travelling, or waiting between classes. If you're looking for a hat that stays flat under a hood, a model without a pompom would be a better fit for you. Furthermore, a regular knitted hat is not designed to be worn under a safety helmet; only use what your helmet manufacturer allows for that purpose.
