Between two sizes? We usually recommend the larger size, unless stated otherwise on the product. In our experience, Italian brands (such as Animo, Cavalleria Toscana and Vestrum) tend to come up small.
Rugs
How to measure your horse: using a soft tape measure, measure from the centre of the chest, over the point of the shoulder, horizontally along the body to the furthest point of the hindquarters. This is the total length.
Always check the brand's size chart. A rug size in cm (for example 125 or 145) is the back length for most brands, and how it converts to feet differs per brand. Some brands, such as Bucas, also measure differently. That's why every rug comes with the brand's own size information.
The table below converts the total length from feet to cm. This conversion is the same for every brand.

Product Information
The Boss Equestrian Adrian is a men's show jacket with a slim line, in grey and in Sky Captain, in sizes S (Men 46) and M (Men 48). You wear it at dressage and show jumping competitions when you want the feel of a smart jacket that still moves completely with you. The Power Sport fabric with four-way stretch is breathable and easy to care for.
About this show jacket
Boss Equestrian builds the Adrian around a high-grade Power Sport quality with four-way stretch, which it describes as breathable, easy to care for and aimed at complete freedom of movement. The cut stays slim: you get a sharp silhouette line in the ring, but not a jacket that slows you down.
The material consists of 74% polyamide and 26% elastane. That high proportion of elastane explains the four-way stretch: the fabric gives in all directions. During a test or a course your shoulders, back and arms are never still, and that is exactly where you notice the difference between a jacket that follows and a jacket that works against you the moment you bring your hands forward.
That the Power Sport quality is breathable and easy to care for is simply practical for a show jacket. You put it on between the warm-up and the test, often on a warm day, and afterwards you want it looking smart again for the next competition without any fuss.
The finishing shows what this jacket is made for. New for this model is the ticket pocket, alongside the classic flap pockets. The sleeve ends carry three BOSS logo buttons with buttonholes, the back has a double vent and the left sleeve has a patch of imitation leather with the BOSS logo. That double back vent is no minor detail: it lets the skirts fall apart in the saddle instead of pulling as soon as you sit down.
The two versions are a mottled grey and the Fish version in Sky Captain. Both stay plain enough for the show ring, with just enough structure in the fabric not to look flat.
