This pad comes into its own under a dressage saddle. When tacking up, place it slightly higher than needed and then pull it up into the wither cut-out, so the fabric does not sit tight across the wither. Before you mount, check that the girth panels lie flat and that there is no fold under the girth.

If you ride several horses or school daily, it is practical to rotate a few pads: one that can dry completely between rides stays supple for longer. For a coordinated look, choose the same colour for your ear bonnet and polo wraps from the range.

Choose this pad if you ride dressage on a sport horse, school daily and want a pad that looks polished without giving up sweat management. It is equally at home during schooling and on a competition day.

If you mainly jump or event, a jumping or eventing model from our range makes more sense: it is cut shorter and more forward, and follows the flap of a jumping saddle better. The Bordeaux pad is also offered in Full dressage size, so for a pony or a small horse it is better to look at a smaller model in the range. And if you are after extra shock absorption or an adjustable saddle balance, a pad with shim inserts from the range suits you better than this classic dressage model.
