Animo Bonita Women's Competition Polo

Size L at Animo is IT 44 and EU 40. Because no size guide exists for this model, it is best to compare with Animo garments you already own, or to take your chest measurement; Italian competition cuts usually come up narrower than northern European ones. Wear the polo with a white tie or stock in the classes that ask for one, and leave it off where your federation's rules allow that. Wash according to the care label in the garment, because Animo states no washing instructions online. A cold delicate programme without fabric softener and drying on a hanger keep a technical fabric in shape for longest.

Choose the Bonita if size L fits you and you want a white competition polo that you wear both under your jacket and at training. It suits dressage, showjumping and the dressage test of an eventing competition, as long as your federation permits a polo collar in your class. May I compete in dressage in a polo?

The Belgian rules ask for a white shirt with a white or off-white tie or stock. At the LRV a white polo is expressly permitted and the tie drops away in the summer uniform. Check your own federation's rules.

And in showjumping?

There FEI Jumping Rules article 207.2.3 asks for a white collar, white cuffs with long sleeves and a white tie, stock or choker. Short sleeves are permitted.

Does this polo have short or long sleeves?

Animo does not document the sleeve length. Check this for a class with a requirement about sleeves or cuffs.

May I ride without a jacket when it is hot?

The ground jury can allow this in very warm weather. In showjumping the shirt must then have sleeves, short or long. The rules name no threshold value.

What is the difference with the Animo Belair?

On paper none: both are white Animo competition polos in size L from the same range. Animo publishes specifications for neither, so the distinction lies in the finish of the garment itself.
