Product Information

Sprenger Bemelmans Dressage Weymouth – Sensogan – 14 mm – 7 cm Shanks

Refined aids. Maximum acceptance. Harmony in advanced dressage.

The Sprenger Bemelmans Dressage Weymouth has been developed for riders competing at Z-level or higher, striving for subtle, precise communication. This Weymouth bit combines an anatomical design with the exclusive Sensogan material, resulting in a quiet mouth, better acceptance, and refined action.

The 14 mm thin mouthpiece is slightly curved and tapers towards the ends. This makes the bit particularly suitable for horses with less space in the mouth. The smooth, ultra-smooth transitions to the shanks prevent pressure points and contribute to a stable, comfortable position.

The 7 cm shanks provide controlled, gradual leverage. This allows the rider to apply aids with extreme precision, without abrupt action.

Why choose the Sprenger Bemelmans?

• Does your horse have little room in its mouth?

The 14 mm thin, tapered mouthpiece offers more comfort.

• Do you want maximum relaxation in the contact?

The anatomical shape supports a quiet tongue position.

• Are you looking for refined leverage?

7 cm shanks ensure precise, measured action.

• Do you have a sensitive horse?

Sensogan stimulates salivation and is excellently accepted.

• Do you strive for harmony in your test?

This bit supports quiet, subtle aids at a higher level.

Maddelin tip: Combine the Bemelmans Dressage Weymouth with a suitable bridoon for a balanced double bridle setup.

If in doubt about the correct bit choice, consult a bit fitter or instructor.

Regularly check the corners of your horse's mouth and its behaviour to see if the bit fits.

Rinse the bit after each ride and check it for wear or sharp edges.

For whom?

For riders looking for a bit that suits their horse's mouth and needs.

When do you use this?

During training and, if permitted by regulations, in competition.

For which horses?

The right bit choice depends on your horse's mouth conformation and preference; if in doubt, ask for advice.

When is an alternative better?

If your horse does not respond well to this mouthpiece, consult a bit fitter about alternatives.

Attach the bit to the bridle and adjust the height so that it rests gently in the corners of the mouth, without creating wrinkles or hanging too low. Rinse the bit after each ride.

Which size should I choose?

Measure your horse's mouth width and consult the size chart.

Is this bit competition legal?

Check the rules of your discipline and federation for certainty.

How do I maintain the bit?

Rinse with water after each ride and regularly check for wear and tear.

How do I know if this bit fits?

Look for relaxed chewing and a quiet contact; if in doubt, ask a bit fitter for advice.
