Choose Cob for horses with a finer head and Full for an average warmblood head. If you do not know your size, measure your current bridle: the length of the noseband and cheekpieces tells you more than your horse's height.

When fitting, leave two fingers of room under the noseband and a flat hand under the throatlash. Fasten the flash strap looser than the noseband itself; it keeps the bit stable, it does not tie anything shut. Also check that the noseband stays at least two fingers below the cheekbone.

For care: wipe the bridle with a damp cloth after every ride, clean it every few weeks with saddle soap and follow up with leather balm. That keeps the leather supple and it will last for years. Store the bridle on a wide bracket rather than a nail, because a nail marks the headpiece.

The Antrado is a good choice when you want one bridle that works for daily training as well as for a competition day, and when you care about the fit around the ears. It suits dressage, jumping and general schooling.

If you would rather ride without a flash strap, a model with a plain or a drop noseband from our range makes more sense. If you want a bridle with even more anatomical detailing, for example an adjustable chin pad or a convertible noseband, you are better off looking at a more elaborate model. And if you already have reins you are attached to, bear in mind that a set is included here.
