Kentucky Anatomic Belly Guard Girth Wool

This girth calls for two care routines. Wipe the synthetic leather after every ride and clean it daily with Tack Cleaner. Take the fleece off when it is sweaty or dirty; wash it at 30 °C, without tumble drying, and let it dry completely before you fasten it back on with the hook-and-loop. Brush the fleece once dry to keep it fluffy.

When girthing up, check that the fleece lies flat and that the cut-out sits behind the elbows. If you work with a spare cover, only use the one made for this model: the cover of the Kentucky Sheepskin stud girth does not fit.

Choose the Kentucky Anatomische Buiklapsingel Wol if you jump, want an anatomical stud girth and prefer soft fleece against the skin over bare synthetic leather. At Maddelin it comes in brown.

If you would rather not wash a cover, the Kentucky Anatomische Buiklapsingel is the same girth without fleece. If you are after a wide protective plate and a buckle for a breastplate, combined with fleece, look at the Kentucky Sheepskin stud girth. If you mainly do flatwork and do not need a stud guard, the Kentucky Anatomische Singel Wol is a long anatomical fleece girth.

Fasten the fleece with the hook-and-loop, position the girth with the cut-out behind the elbows and fasten it at the same height on both sides to the girth straps. Draw reins go on the D-rings. Clean the synthetic leather daily with Tack Cleaner. Take the cover off and wash it at 30 °C; do not tumble dry.

Is the fleece real wool?
No. The Dutch name says 'wol', but Kentucky uses artificial sheepskin, a synthetic material. The strap is synthetic leather.

Can I take the fleece off and wash it?
Yes. The fleece is attached with hook-and-loop. Kentucky lists washing at 30 °C and no tumble drying.

Does the cover of the Kentucky Sheepskin stud girth fit this girth?
No. Kentucky states that this cover does not fit this anatomical stud girth.

How does it differ from the Kentucky Anatomische Buiklapsingel?
