Cavalor An Energy Boost Paste 1 x 60 g

The Cavalor An Energy Boost is an energy-dense paste for sport horses that need quickly available energy and nutrients just before, during or after a hard effort. It is a 60 g booster you give straight into the mouth. The formula combines readily absorbed carbohydrates with electrolytes, B vitamins, vitamin C and essential amino acids. You use it around competitions and intensive training, when your horse burns a lot of energy and loses minerals through sweat.

About this paste

The main energy source in the formula is glucose, a rapidly absorbed carbohydrate. An Energy Boost also contains the electrolytes sodium, potassium, chloride, magnesium and calcium: minerals lost through sweating. That combination of fast energy and minerals explains why the paste is used around the competition moment.

The formula also contains the essential amino acids L-leucine, L-isoleucine and L-valine, known together as the BCAAs. On top of that come B vitamins, namely B1, B2, B3, B6 and B12, plus vitamin C. Finally, essential oils of lime, lemon and eucalyptus have been added.

The paste is given directly into the mouth. Cavalor advises one dose no more than half an hour before the effort; for extra topping up after hard work, a second dose can be given just afterwards. For ponies and leisure horses that means half a booster, for sport horses a full booster.

One booster holds 60 g. Give no more than three boosters a day and always provide plenty of fresh drinking water. Because the paste is packed per booster, it slips easily into the show bag. It suits show jumpers, event horses, dressage horses, endurance and reining horses, and any horse that needs a quickly available energy source at a key moment.
