Wahl Adore Horse Clipper

Work on a clean, dry coat and brush thoroughly first: sand between the teeth blunts a blade faster than the clipping itself. Lubricate the blade at the start and repeat regularly while you work, so the teeth stay cool and run freely. Brush the hairs away after use and store the machine in a dry place.

On an area you do not know, start at a higher setting, 3 mm for example, and only go shorter once you see how the coat reacts. For a full clip, combine the Admire with a large clipper from our range and use the Admire for the finishing. Clipper oil belongs to the same range.

Choose the Admire if you mainly finish and touch up: setting the head neatly, neatening the ears, cleaning up the neck around the bridle or tidying the legs between two clips. The five positions in one blade mean you can change length during that same session.

If you have to clip whole horses, you are better off with a large machine such as the Wahl KM Supera or the Heiniger Saphir. If you already work with A5 blade sets and want to keep using them, bear in mind that the Admire runs on a different system and does not accept those blade sets.

Set the position with the lever on the head. On an unfamiliar area, start at 3 mm and only go shorter once you see how the coat responds. Work on a clean, dry coat that you have brushed out thoroughly first. Oil the head at the start and regularly while you work.

After use, brush the hairs away and store the trimmer dry. The battery gives up to 120 minutes of clipping time and recharges in about 80 minutes.

Which blades or blade sets fit this machine?
The Admire works with the Wahl 5-in-1 system. Only blades listed as 5-in-1 will fit it. If your blade is not clearly described as such, get in touch before you order.

Does an A5 snap-on blade set fit the Admire?
No. A5 and 5-in-1 are two different mounting systems. An A5 blade set from a Heiniger Saphir or a Wahl KM Supera, for example, does not fit this machine.

Which cutting heights do I get with the 5-in-1 blade?
Five positions: 3 mm, 2.4 mm, 1.9 mm, 1.3 mm and 0.7 mm. You set them with the lever on the blade, without attachments.

Does #10 mean the same here as #10 on an A5 blade set?
No. The numbers of the 5-in-1 system are Wahl's own and do not correspond to A5 blade sets of the same name. Compare the millimetres.

What is the difference between Fine and Coarse?
Both give the same cutting heights. On the Coarse the teeth are set further apart, which works more easily in a thick or matted coat.

How long does the battery last?
Up to 120 minutes per charge. A full charge takes about 80 minutes.

Can I clip a whole horse with this machine?
That is not what this model is for. It is a clipper for detail work and finishing; for the whole body you choose a large clipper.

How do I maintain this machine?
Clean the blade after every use, lubricate it regularly while clipping and store the machine in a dry place.
