Between two sizes? We usually recommend the larger size, unless stated otherwise on the product. In our experience, Italian brands (such as Animo, Cavalleria Toscana and Vestrum) tend to come up small.

Rugs

How to measure your horse: using a soft tape measure, measure from the centre of the chest, over the point of the shoulder, horizontally along the body to the furthest point of the hindquarters. This is the total length.

Always check the brand's size chart. A rug size in cm (for example 125 or 145) is the back length for most brands, and how it converts to feet differs per brand. Some brands, such as Bucas, also measure differently. That's why every rug comes with the brand's own size information.

The Acavallo Almond Gloss Detangler is the 500 ml almond shine product from the Stable Ritual range. Acavallo sells it as Almond Coat Polish: a shine product for the coat. Whether the brand also intends it as a detangler for mane and tail we could not confirm, so this page describes only what is established.

About this coat polish

First things first: the name. Acavallo's assortment holds one almond product for coat and shine, and it is called Almond Coat Polish 500 ml. The brand does not offer an Almond Gloss Detangler under that name. For now we are leaving the title in our shop as it stands; whether our ACS00013 is indeed the Almond Coat Polish still has to be confirmed by the supplier.

Coat Polish points to a shine product for the coat. Such a product goes on after grooming or washing, on a dry coat, to smooth the hair down. Our older text described this product as a detangler for mane and tail: that is not confirmed by the brand and therefore no longer appears in this text.

The product belongs to Acavallo's almond line, together with the Almond Shampoo 500 ml and an Almond Dry Shampoo. Here the Almond Shampoo is listed under the title Acavallo Almond Shampoo 500 ml, so you can keep the wash and the finish within the same scent line.
