Choose Miracle Groom when washing with water is not possible or not sensible: in winter, in a yard without hot water, at a show, or when you only want to deal with a few stains instead of washing the whole horse.

If you can wash, the Absorbine ShowSheen Shampoo & Conditioner 591 ml cleans more thoroughly. If you only want shine and a tangle-free mane and tail, take the Absorbine ShowSheen Hair Polish & Detangler 950 ml. For white coats and light legs the Veredus Easy White dry shampoo 500 ml is the more targeted alternative, and for a quick wipe on the road there are the HB Horse Wipes Natural Clean.

Miracle Groom comes in one format: a 946 ml bottle with a trigger spray. There is no refill and no large format in the range. Because you spray onto a towel or onto your brush rather than over the whole horse, a bottle lasts longer than you might think at first sight.

Shake the bottle well before you start. For stains on the coat, spray lightly onto a towel and rub backwards through the hair; then brush the coat out as usual. That keeps the product where you need it and uses less of it.

For everyday grooming, lightly spray your brush and brush as you always do. Mane and tail are sprayed directly and then combed through. On a competition day that is the quickest way to deal with stains and dust.

Miracle Groom is not recommended for cats. On animals other than the species the brand lists, test a small area first.
